Recently assigned to St John Neumann Parish, Fr Matz is thrilled that he has been given the opportunity to return to a place where he had known much joy and encouragement. Having lived here from 1996 to 2007, while working at the local diocesan high school, Father now returns as Pastor. “What a joy to be reunited with old friends and to meet new parishioners. I embrace my role as Pastor, and pray for the openness to respond to God’s guiding grace.” Fr Matz has been a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for over thirty-three years and has had various experiences from high school teacher and administrator to pastor. It is Father’s daily prayer that the Holy Spirit show him each day how to be part of God’s purpose for this wonderful community.
Parish Services Director
Sister Carol’s life as a Sister of St. Joseph found its roots in the gift of Faith which she received from the good example of her parents. A Sister of St. Joseph for 56 years, she has enjoyed the experience of teaching young children, and now considers herself blessed in her current assignment to this warm and
welcoming Parish Community. During Sister’s 25 years at St. John Neumann Parish, she has experienced the grace of working with a community that is both welcoming and life giving. She can clearly say that she is a better person because of the love that they have shown her. Sister loves to travel and has had the opportunity to visit Aruba, Ireland, Alaska, Italy and the Caribbean Islands. Her greatest adventure was her swimming with the dolphins and horseback riding in Aruba.
From his earliest memory, Deacon David and his family were helpers. Hailing from upstate New York, he and his wife, Mary were committed to their Catholic Faith and what it means to join others on life’s journey both in times of struggle and celebration. Deacon, like Our Lord, when he joined the two travelers on the road to Emmaus in Luke’s gospel, has tried to live his life as a servant leader and fellow traveler especially in his role as a trained Pastoral Counselor. Deacon loves a challenge, is an avid mystery buff, especially those hailing from Britain, enjoys the beach, and especially cherishes spending time with his family and friends. His motto in life has always been, “nothing ventured, nothing gained,” always in stride with the Lord on life’s journey.
Ss. Colman-John Neumann School feels like a second home for Mrs. Lamberto since her arrival six years ago. Each day is a new opportunity to share her faith and love of Catholic Education with the school community. Mrs. Lamberto has incorporated many new programs to insure that SCJN is the best place to receive an excellent education, make life-long friends, and instill community and service. It is because of her faith-filled upbringing and wonderful memories of her own Catholic Education from First grade through Graduate School, that her decision to dedicate her life to this mission was easily made. “Since my arrival at Ss. Colman-John Neuman School, I have been blessed to meet and work with the most wonderful students, families, pastors, and teachers.” “Although my path to here was not in my original plans, I know it is exactly where God wants me to be and am grateful for each and every day at SCJN.”
